Nude dotticure - more or less.

Hey ladies!

Todays extremely quick post features my first-ever, big-time dotticure! I love them so much! :) Onto the nails:

I started off with 2 coats of Nordic Cap NP06 then added dots with China Glaze Below Deck, H&M Honey I'm Home and Depend nr 321.

I could have waited a bit longer before I added a top coat, saw it after I actually took the pictures :(

I hope you enjoyed this mani just as much as I did!

Thank you for stopping by! :) xx

Gradient again? Yes, because I can!

Hey ladies!

Quick post + gradient again. I know, I know I could have come up with something else but I had 3 polishes lying around while I was doing my homework and they all were pinks (more or less) so of course idea struck me - gradient! Here it is:

I did however try something other than applying polishes straight onto the make up sponge. I sponged them one after another. I used this technique before until I found out that you can actually paint colors directly onto the sponge and the effect is somehow "smoother". That is just for me of course :)

I used OPI My Very First Knockwurst for base, H&M Pink and OPI Casino Royale for the gradient.

And which technique do you prefer while doing a gradient mani? Let me know!

Thank you for stopping by! :) xx

Aqua green and blue skittle, say what?!

Hey there!

Its already late (2 am) and I got to get to school tomorrow but I had some fun nail art to show you! I couldnt wait :) I was wondering what could I possibly do and I came up with this:

On my index finger and pinky I painted 2 coats of H&M Blue, on my thumb (you can not see my thumbs here), middle and ring finger I used Where's My Chauffeur as a base. On my middle finger I sponged some Petrol by GinaTricot and added one coat of Viva La Diva nr 51. On my ring finger I painted animal print with Petrol and a black creme. How do you like it?

Live And Let Die by OPI - swatches + nail art!

Hey ladies!

Today is one of those lazy Sundays but I do have something nice for you :) Live And Let Die was one of 2 picks from the OPI Skyfall collection. I did want to buy The Living Daylights but they were out and I havent seen this polish since then! :( Lets get to the swatches shall we?

Live And Let Die is a dark forest green with gold shimmer. Great formula - its an one coater!!!!! Awesome! Although I didnt need to I did use two coats cause I wanted the deep shade that you can see when you look at the bottle.

I do wear this shade a lot and this was even my Christmas-mani polish! Ill show you what I did for the holidays:

I used Live And Let Die as a base and did a reverse gradient with Disco by GinaTricot. It was very Christmas appropriate.

Thank you for stopping by! :) xx

4 pack by Gina Tricot.

Hey ladies!

I apologize for my absence but well life got in the way of my blogging. Now Im back, in a new apartment and yet not fully unpacked but I couldnt leave blog for too long!

I purchased some new nail polishes on a holiday clearance and I intend on swatching them! Today is first set that I bought at GinaTricot:

From left to right: Black, Black/Gold, Orange and Red. Not very imaginative names but what can I do :)
Used 2 coats in all swatches, base and top coat included.

Lets start with Black:

Black is a black creme with easy formula and great coverage. Although this polish starts off pretty sheer its amazing how much 2 easy coats (like in all of those swatches) can even out everything! Drying time is average.

Next in the line is Black/Gold.

This polish is very interesting. The name clearly states that this is black and gold but as you can see it really isnt! Magic!

It definitely leans into forest green on the nail and the reason is that the base is basically a black jelly so the golden particles are "coated" in the blackened base giving this beautiful forest green shade. To me, this one couldnt be more perfect!

Picture out of focus woops! Anyways, again 2 easy coats and drying time is normal.

Orange:

This shade isnt very flattering on my skin tone but it is truly amazing! Almost neon-bright orange with pink shimmer! Lovely. The picture doesnt do its justice, the pink shimmer is visible way more on the nail than in this picture.

Good formula and as with the other two, drying time is pretty good.

Last but not least is Red:

Burn me while interrogating but to me this is a pink. I mean just look at it! This could be a raspberry red with pink hints with pink shimmer.. Well I guess that is exactly what it is hahaha silly me!

Overall thoughts:

As to the fact that those polishes are made by a store that just recently started their own lane of cosmetics I gotta say that they are of a very good quality. They didnt stain my nails, removal was pretty easy, even Black/Gold didnt give me any troubles while removing. I hadnt had the chance to wear them for a long time but Im sure they hold pretty good as well. One regret: the fact that those are only available in small bottles! What a shame!

I hope you found this helpful somehow :)
